I’m a senior product designer with 10+ years of experience and a love of solving tricky design problems. Using a user-centred approach and the double diamond framework, I bring together research, data, and insight like puzzle pieces to create thoughtful solutions that balance real user needs with meaningful business goals.
With a specialism in UX and a background in graphic design, I’m passionate about designing experiences that make a genuine difference. I focus on building intuitive, accessible, and engaging journeys that feel effortless to use.
My process
I use the double diamond as a starting point for my projects; however, I adapt my approach to meet the project's constraints, such as scope or business requirements. This flexibility aims to ensure the project remains aligned with evolving needs and constraints.
Depending on the project brief, my work spans both diamonds of the design process—from defining the problem space through deep user insight, to delivering tested, refined solutions that turn research and business needs into real-world impact.
The design process isn’t a one size fits all.
The process isn’t always linear, and it can get messy—but embracing that allows space to adapt and learn from each project. I draw on a range of UX methods as needed, and I enjoy trying new approaches to expand my practice and grow as a designer.
Developing & Supporting Others
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is supporting others. I’m open and approachable, and happy to offer guidance - whether that’s around design, business considerations, or more general advice.
Leadership
As a senior designer, I lead a multidisciplinary project squad and take ownership of the design direction and structure of our solutions, working closely with a Principal Designer alongside content designers, researchers and developers to deliver coherent, impactful outcomes.
Alongside this, I line-manage midweight designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and advocacy tailored to their individual needs. I prioritise being present and accessible, and take real pride in seeing the people I support recognised for the quality and impact of their work.
Mentoring
Alongside my other responsibilities, I also mentor team members outside the product design discipline, aiming to support their growth.
These sessions range from serving as a trusted sounding board for questions and advice to teaching design methods and processes, helping others feel more competent and empowered in applying user-centred design in their current roles.
Where appropriate, I support those who want to explore product design hands-on, giving them the space and guidance to feel confident about whether it’s the right path for them.
